Which date ideas need no skiing at all?
Dog sledding, the night snowmobile ride and ice skating need no ski level at all. They also happen late in the day, after the lifts close, so they fit well after a lesson or a spa visit.
A dog sled ride at dusk
Courchevel Aventure runs a 25-minute day ride for 250 € and a 35-minute evening ride for 500 €, both priced per sled. The limit is 150 kg per sled. The ride is open from age 2 but not to pregnant women. Arrive 10 minutes early, dressed in ski clothes.
A snowmobile ride after the lifts close
Sport Découverte runs a one-hour ride between 5 pm and 8 pm for 200 € per machine, with one or two people on board. The route covers 23 km. The driver must be at least 20 and have held a car licence for two years. The meeting point is on Rue de l'Altiport.
Ice skating at the Forum
The Forum skating rink in Courchevel 1850 opens from 11 December 2026 to 18 April 2027. Skate hire is available. Opening hours are:
- Tuesday: 2.15 pm to 5.15 pm
- Wednesday: 6.15 pm to 10.15 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 4 pm to 7.30 pm
