We only work with professional photographers who are at ease anywhere on the mountain. They know Courchevel in winter: where the view opens up, when the light turns warm on the peaks, which terraces are worth stopping at. They carry their gear on their back and keep pace with you and the children. And you talk to yours directly on WhatsApp before the session.
Riva Photography Courchevel covers Val Thorens, at 2,300 m the highest ski resort in Europe, as part of Les 3 Vallées: your photographer skis over from the Courchevel side through Méribel. The ski links run from 5 December 2026 to 18 April 2027, and only the photographer's lift pass is added at the public price. Sessions start at 590 € for one hour and 30 photos, all taxes included.
Val Thorens stands at 2,300 m in the Belleville valley, a semi-pedestrianised resort that can be crossed on foot in about twenty minutes. Your Val Thorens photographer skis over from the Courchevel side through Méribel to meet you. For a Val Thorens photoshoot at Cime Caron, at 3,200 m, or at the Col de la Chambre, you book a photographer in Val Thorens who knows the whole of Les 3 Vallées on skis.
From your first WhatsApp message to your final gallery, here's exactly what happens.
Send us your dates, your hotel or chalet and what you want to keep from the week. We choose the time and places with you: an easy run with a great view, the Altiport at sunset, the chalet terrace. Then we introduce you to your photographer.
Your photographer meets you at the top of the lifts or at the chalet, skis on and gear on their back. They follow your pace and the children's, with no stiff poses and no "everyone look here". After a run or two, nobody thinks about the camera anymore.
A first selection within 48 hours, while you are still in the resort, and your full private gallery within 7 days. Want it warmer, cooler, more contrast? Tell your photographer and we retouch until it's right.
Yes. Val Thorens is at the far end of Les 3 Vallées and is linked on skis to Courchevel through Méribel, so your photographer skis over to meet you and can follow you from one valley to the next over a full day.
No. Val Thorens is part of Les 3 Vallées, which Riva Photography Courchevel covers on skis; travel costs only appear in quotes for other resorts. For sessions on the slopes, the photographer's 3 Vallées lift pass is added at the public price.
Les 3 Vallées gives 21 November 2026 to 2 May 2027 for the Val Thorens lifts, and 5 December 2026 to 18 April 2027 for the links with Méribel and Courchevel. Outside the link dates, ask for a quote before booking.
The same prices apply as in Courchevel: 590 € for one hour and 30 photos, 790 € for two hours and 60 photos, 1,290 € for a half day, 1,970 € for a full day and 2,970 € for a weekend, all taxes included, plus the photographer's lift pass for sessions on the slopes.
A Les 3 Vallées pass, since Val Thorens is outside the Courchevel Valley pass. In high season, from 19 December 2026 to 9 April 2027, the official adult day price is 84.20 €, added to your quote at the public price.
Cime Caron, at 3,200 m, is the signature viewpoint: Les 3 Vallées describes a 360-degree view of more than 1,000 Alpine summits, including Mont Blanc and the Barre des Écrins. On cloudy days, the resort centre and the lower slopes keep the session going.
