We only work with professional photographers who are at ease anywhere on the mountain. They know Courchevel in winter: where the view opens up, when the light turns warm on the peaks, which terraces are worth stopping at. They carry their gear on their back and keep pace with you and the children. And you talk to yours directly on WhatsApp before the session.
Riva Photography Courchevel connects you with a private photographer who skis in Courchevel 1850 for the 2026-2027 season, which runs from 4 December 2026 to 18 April 2027. Sessions can start at your hotel or chalet, continue at La Croisette and finish on the slopes or at the Altiport. Prices start at 590 € for 1 hour and 30 photos, all taxes included.
Courchevel 1850 is the highest of the resort's five ski villages and the place where it began in 1946. A Courchevel 1850 photographer from Riva skis with you, so your Courchevel 1850 photoshoot can move from the snow front at La Croisette to La Saulire at 2,740 m, then down to the Altiport plateau for the last light. You stay in the pictures, and your photographer in Courchevel 1850 handles the rest.
From your first WhatsApp message to your final gallery, here's exactly what happens.
Send us your dates, your hotel or chalet and what you want to keep from the week. We choose the time and places with you: an easy run with a great view, the Altiport at sunset, the chalet terrace. Then we introduce you to your photographer.
Your photographer meets you at the top of the lifts or at the chalet, skis on and gear on their back. They follow your pace and the children's, with no stiff poses and no "everyone look here". After a run or two, nobody thinks about the camera anymore.
A first selection within 48 hours, while you are still in the resort, and your full private gallery within 7 days. Want it warmer, cooler, more contrast? Tell your photographer and we retouch until it's right.
With Riva Photography Courchevel, a session costs 590 € for 1 hour and 30 photos, 790 € for 2 hours and 60 photos, 1,290 € for a half day, 1,970 € for a full day and 2,970 € for a weekend, all taxes included. For sessions on the slopes, the photographer's lift pass is added at the public price.
Most sessions start at your hotel or chalet, or at La Croisette, the building at the snow front where the main gondolas and a lift pass office are. From there, the Verdons gondola and the Saulire cable car lead to La Saulire at 2,740 m.
Yes, from the paths and slopes around it, never from the runway area. The marked winter walk "The heights of Courchevel 1850" runs 3 km from the top of the Altiport down to the centre in about 1 hour 15 minutes, which suits portraits at the end of the day.
Sunset is around 4.50 pm in December and close to 6 pm in mid-February, according to Sunrise-sunset.org. As most lifts close in the late afternoon, summit sessions take place earlier in the day and sunset sessions at village level or around the Altiport.
Yes. The Les 3 Vallées pedestrian pass costs 31.40 € per day for winter 2026-2027 and gives access to the lifts open to pedestrians, including the Saulire cable car. La Croisette, the Forum and the Altiport plateau are reachable on foot.
Rescheduling is free when you ask more than 72 hours before the session; below that, 10% of the price is due. On a cloudy day, the photographer can also move the session to the village or to a more sheltered setting.
