We only work with professional photographers who are at ease anywhere on the mountain. They know Courchevel in winter: where the view opens up, when the light turns warm on the peaks, which terraces are worth stopping at. They carry their gear on their back and keep pace with you and the children. And you talk to yours directly on WhatsApp before the session.
Riva Photography Courchevel connects you with a private photographer who skis in Courchevel Village, the village once called Courchevel 1550. For 2026-2027 its lifts run from 5 December 2026 to 18 April 2027. Sessions can start at your chalet, ride the Grangettes gondola up to Courchevel 1850 and end on the floodlit sledge run at dusk. Prices start at 590 € for 1 hour, all taxes included.
Courchevel Village is the calm, central village of the valley, at 1,550 m according to the tourist office, with a well-established local life and direct access to the ski area. A Courchevel Village photographer from Riva can start your session at the chalet, take the Grangettes gondola up to Courchevel 1850 and finish at dusk on the 2 km floodlit sledge run that ends back in the village. Your Courchevel 1550 photoshoot stays simple, and your photographer in Courchevel Village handles the rest.
From your first WhatsApp message to your final gallery, here's exactly what happens.
Send us your dates, your hotel or chalet and what you want to keep from the week. We choose the time and places with you: an easy run with a great view, the Altiport at sunset, the chalet terrace. Then we introduce you to your photographer.
Your photographer meets you at the top of the lifts or at the chalet, skis on and gear on their back. They follow your pace and the children's, with no stiff poses and no "everyone look here". After a run or two, nobody thinks about the camera anymore.
A first selection within 48 hours, while you are still in the resort, and your full private gallery within 7 days. Want it warmer, cooler, more contrast? Tell your photographer and we retouch until it's right.
Yes. Courchevel Tourism confirms that Courchevel Village is the current name of the village historically called Courchevel 1550. The tourist office gives an altitude of 1,550 m, while the town hall lists 1,500 m.
With Riva Photography Courchevel, a session costs 590 € for 1 hour and 30 photos, 790 € for 2 hours and 60 photos, 1,290 € for a half day, 1,970 € for a full day and 2,970 € for a weekend, all taxes included. For sessions on the slopes, the photographer's lift pass is added at the public price.
Yes. The Grangettes gondola links the two villages, and Courchevel Tourism states that all the villages are connected by slopes and lifts during the day, with free shuttles in winter, so no car is needed.
Yes. The 2 km floodlit run from Courchevel 1850 to Courchevel Village is open daily until 7.15 pm in season for holders of a ski or pedestrian pass. Helmets are mandatory and children under 6 are not allowed.
Yes. The tourist office describes it as calm, with direct proximity to the ski area, and it is home to Aquamotion. A session can follow a lesson on a gentle slope or move indoors if the weather turns.
Rescheduling is free when you ask more than 72 hours before the session; below that, 10% of the price is due. On a cloudy day, the photographer can also keep the session in the village or among the trees.
