We only work with professional photographers who are at ease anywhere on the mountain. They know Courchevel in winter: where the view opens up, when the light turns warm on the peaks, which terraces are worth stopping at. They carry their gear on their back and keep pace with you and the children. And you talk to yours directly on WhatsApp before the session.
A ski photoshoot in Courchevel with Riva means a private photographer who skis follows you on the slopes, from the first lift to the last run. The 2026-2027 season runs from 4 December 2026 to 18 April 2027. Sessions start at 590 € for 1 hour and 30 photos, all taxes included, plus the photographer's lift pass at the public price (77 € a day in the Courchevel valley).
A ski photographer in Courchevel does what a photographer on foot cannot: ski down ahead of you, stop below the turn and keep the spray, the laugh at the bottom of the run and the children's first red slope. Send us your dates, your hotel or chalet and what you want to keep from the week. We choose the time and places with you: an easy run with a great view, the Altiport at sunset, the chalet terrace. Then we introduce you to your photographer.
Your photographer meets you at the top of the lifts or at the chalet, skis on and gear on their back. They follow your pace and the children's, with no stiff poses and no "everyone look here". After a run or two, nobody thinks about the camera anymore.
A first selection within 48 hours, while you are still in the resort, and your full private gallery within 7 days. Want it warmer, cooler, more contrast? Tell your photographer and we retouch until it's right.
With Riva Photography Courchevel, a ski photoshoot costs 590 € for 1 hour and 30 photos, 790 € for 2 hours and 60 photos, 1,290 € for a half day, 1,970 € for a full day and 2,970 € for a weekend, all taxes included. The photographer's lift pass is added at the public price: 77 € for a Courchevel Valley day, 84.20 € for a Les 3 Vallées day in high season.
Yes. Riva Photography Courchevel works with photographers who ski: they carry their gear on their back, keep pace with you on the slopes and adapt to the level of the slowest skier in the group, children included. They ski ahead to frame you coming down, then follow you to the next spot.
No. Many of the best ski photos are taken on easy slopes, at the snow front or on a terrace, where everyone can relax and look up. Non-skiers can join too: the Les 3 Vallées pedestrian pass costs 31.40 € a day for winter 2026-2027 and opens the lifts that take pedestrians, including the Saulire cable car.
The first runs of the morning and the late afternoon give the most flattering light, because the low sun shows the texture of the snow and shapes faces. Sunset is around 4.50 pm in December and close to 6 pm in mid-February, so summit sessions take place earlier and sunset portraits at village level.
Rescheduling is free when you ask more than 72 hours before the session; below that, 10% of the price is due. On a grey day, light snow often gives beautiful soft pictures, and the photographer can also move the session to the village or to a more sheltered setting.
A first selection of edited photos arrives within 48 hours, usually before the end of your stay, and the full edited gallery within 7 days. Every image is individually retouched, with the snow kept white and faces readable under helmets and goggles.
