In short
Après-ski in Courchevel is centred on Courchevel 1850, where palace and five-star hotel bars host live music in the evening and Les Caves on rue des Tovets is the best-known nightclub. Moriond has the liveliest terrace and pub scene, while Village, Le Praz and La Tania have relaxed sports bars. The 2026-2027 season runs from 4 December to 18 April.
Where does après-ski happen in Courchevel?
Most of the evening life is in Courchevel 1850, the highest of the main villages, where the palace hotels, the five-star bars and the late-night venues are concentrated. Courchevel Moriond has a younger terrace and pub scene at the foot of its main piste. Courchevel Village, Courchevel Le Praz and Courchevel La Tania are quieter, each with a sports bar or cocktail bar where people gather after the lifts close.
Courchevel Tourism publishes an official list of bars and nightclubs, filterable by village. Every venue in this guide appears on that list or on its own website, and we checked each address in October 2026. Opening hours and programmes change each winter, so confirm directly before you plan an evening around one place.
If you are still choosing where to stay, our guide to the Courchevel villages and the Courchevel 1850 guide explain how the villages differ.
Which bars are best straight off the slopes?
For a drink in ski boots, the best options are the terrace bars at the bottom of the pistes and the pubs a few steps from the lifts. The table lists the venues we verified, with the address given by Courchevel Tourism.
| Bar | Village | Address | What to expect, as described by the venue or Courchevel Tourism |
|---|---|---|---|
| Le Portetta (Fire & Ice terrace) | Courchevel Moriond | Rue du Marquis | Outdoor terrace bar at the bottom of the main piste, with log fires, a wood-fired pizza oven and heated bar seating |
| The Seven Kings | Courchevel Moriond | 114 rue du Marquis | A pub with a British feel, English beers and gins, close to Fahrenheit Seven |
| Funky Fox | Courchevel Moriond | 433 rue Sainte Blandine | Pub with draught beers, billiards, live music and live sport |
| Prends ta Luge et Tire-toi (La Luge) | Courchevel 1850 | Place du Forum | Ski shop and snack bar by day, a bar with world beers, cocktails and concerts at night |
| Carlibar | Courchevel 1850 | 180 rue de Bellecôte (Hôtel Le Carlina) | Lunch, snacks and aperitifs with a large sunny terrace |
| Le Catérail | Courchevel Village | 45 rue des Rois | Casual après-ski near the Grangettes gondola, DJ and concert evenings, big football and rugby matches on screen |
| L'Elephant | Courchevel Le Praz | Galerie de l'Or Blanc | Bar and restaurant with pizzas and burgers, pool table, darts and sports screens |
| La Taïga | Courchevel La Tania | Route du Praz Juget, Le Formier | Cocktail bar with a restaurant upstairs, opposite the Troika beginners' piste |
Moriond is the easiest village for a sociable, informal evening on foot: Le Portetta and The Seven Kings are both on rue du Marquis, and Funky Fox is in the same village. In Courchevel 1850, La Luge is the most relaxed address; the rest of the evening there leans towards hotel bars.
Which hotel bars are worth booking for a drink?
In Courchevel 1850 the hotel bars are where much of the après-ski happens, and several programme live music every evening. Courchevel Tourism lists them among the resort's bars, and in the busiest weeks it is sensible to ask the hotel in advance whether a table can be reserved.
| Bar | Hotel | Area | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Le Bar | Cheval Blanc Courchevel | Le Jardin Alpin, 1850 | Listed as open daily from 9 am to 1 am, quiet by day and livelier at night |
| Le Bar | Airelles Courchevel | Le Jardin Alpin, 1850 | Lounges, a smoking room and tea time in a 19th-century Austro-Hungarian style setting |
| Le 8611 | Le K2 Palace | 238 rue des Clarines, 1850 | Fireside cocktail bar with live music every evening |
| Le 1856 | Le K2 Altitude | 356 route de l'Altiport, 1850 | Cocktails and live music in the evening, food until 10 pm |
| The Lounge Bar | Fouquet's Courchevel | 422 rue de Bellecôte, 1850 | Live music every night from 7 pm |
| Le Bar de l'Hôtel Annapurna | Hôtel Annapurna | 734 route de l'Altiport, 1850 | A fireside bar running for over 40 years, with après-ski snacks and live music evenings |
| Le Saint Roch | Hôtel Le Saint Roch | Rue de Bellecôte, 1850 | Opens from 3 pm with a jazz atmosphere, crêpes, waffles and hot chocolate |
For a quieter evening, these bars suit couples and families better than the clubs. For a more festive night, the venues in the next section take over after dinner.
Where do you go dancing late in Courchevel?
Late nights in Courchevel are concentrated in 1850, in a small number of venues that combine dinner, shows and dancing.
- Les Caves, rue des Tovets, Courchevel 1850. Listed by Courchevel Tourism among the resort's bars and nightclubs and described by Les 3 Vallées as an iconic nightclub with international DJs. Its own website was unreachable when we checked, so confirm the programme through your hotel or concierge.
- La Ferme Saint-Amour, 90 rue des Chenus, Courchevel 1850. A restaurant, bar and club with winter cooking signed by chef Eric Frechon, where the venue itself describes guests dancing on the tables late into the night. Its website said it was closed in October 2026 and would reopen in December 2026.
- La Mangeoire, rue Park City, Courchevel 1850. Grills, fondues and rotisserie dishes; Courchevel Tourism describes it as a dancing restaurant.
In Moriond, Copiña (Immeuble La Prazriond, rue du Marquis) is a Galician tapas restaurant built around a cocktail bar; its website said it was closed until December 2026.
Door policies, table bookings and minimum spends are set by each venue and change from season to season, so we have not listed them here. Ask the venue or your concierge when you book.
Is there a Folie Douce in Courchevel?
Not in Courchevel itself. La Folie Douce lists a venue called La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel, but its address on the brand's website is Saulire Express, 73550 Méribel, which places it in the neighbouring valley. Courchevel and Méribel are linked by lifts within Les 3 Vallées, so plan the return before the lifts close if you go on skis.
On the Courchevel side, Bagatelle Courchevel is a French Mediterranean restaurant at the top of the Chenus gondola in Courchevel 1850, a long lunch address rather than an evening one. Our Courchevel restaurants guide covers the mountain restaurants in more detail.
If you are comparing the two resorts for a group trip, see Courchevel vs Méribel.
When is the après-ski season, and which evening events are announced?
Courchevel's 2026-2027 winter season runs from Friday 4 December 2026 to Sunday 18 April 2027, according to Courchevel Tourism and the lift operator's ticket office. Many bars and restaurants open around the start of the season and close at the end, so early December and mid-April are quieter in the evenings.
| Date | Event | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 4 December 2026 | Start of the winter season | All villages |
| Tuesday 22 December 2026 | Women's Alpine Ski World Cup night slalom, partners' village from 4 pm, first run at 5.45 pm, a DJ set between runs, second run at 8.45 pm | Stade Émile-Allais, Courchevel 1850 |
| December 2026, date to be announced | Grand closing party of Courchevel's 80th anniversary year | Courchevel |
| 18 April 2027 | End of the winter season | All villages |
The night slalom is the standout evening of the early season and falls during the first week of the French Christmas school holidays. For the festive weeks, see our Courchevel Christmas and New Year guide.
How do you get between villages at night?
Courchevel Tourism states that the villages are connected by road and, in season, by shuttles. Once the lifts close you cannot ski back, so if your chalet or hotel is in a different village from your evening plans, check the shuttle timetable at the tourist office or ask your hotel to arrange a car.
Two practical points help. First, choosing to stay in the village where you expect to spend your evenings removes the problem. Second, the evening and the morning after are linked: if you have booked a ski lesson, a photo session or an early lift, plan a slightly earlier night.
Would you like photos of your evening?
An aperitif on a terrace at sunset, a chalet dinner or a birthday in a hotel bar are moments people often want to keep. Riva Photography Courchevel connects visitors with private photographers in Courchevel for ski days, families, couples and evening events, with sessions from one hour (30 photos, 590 € including VAT).
